IT Governance To Manage Online Bookshop For itSMF Belgium

Press Releases - 9th February 2011

Ely, England, 9 February 2011 – In an exciting new partnership, the governance and compliance experts of IT Governance (ITG) will be launching and running an Information Technology Service Management Forum (itSMF) Belgium bookshop website.

The dedicated site (http://www.itgovernance.eu), going live on February 9 2011, will allow all itSMF Belgium members to buy the full range of ITG books, toolkits and training at a 15% discount price.

Alan Calder, Chief Executive of IT Governance, says: ‘We’re not just talking about our own branded ITG products and ITG Publishing titles. As an official reseller, we’ll be offering titles from all the major international ITSM publishers, from The Stationery Office and the British Standards Institution through to Van Haren Publishing and Kogan Page. The initial range alone will be about 1,000 products.’

These top-quality products will be available in an unprecedented range of formats, including hard-cover, e-books and PDFs, through means of distribution ranging from online subscription to multi-user access. Many titles will be available in multiple European languages.

The use of a new Benelux warehouse will help maintain ITG’s reputation for fast and cost-effective shipping.

Calder continues: ‘ITG is unique in offering every relevant product for all major IT-related frameworks from every publisher in the world in every format in which they are available – a real one-stop shop. Our selection for this role by itSMF Belgium recognises and confirms our industry-leading position.

‘We’re the ideal partner for this type of IT best practice project, running third-party websites that depend on knowledgeable customer service. We offer proven logistical and e-commerce expertise. We have well-established distribution arrangements with every relevant book publisher and training provider. Furthermore, our customer sales and service team is renowned for helping customers find appropriate books, tools, training and consultants.’

Paul De Cooman, Director with itSMF Belgium, adds: ‘We chose ITG for this project because we wanted a single point of contact, with a positive attitude about working with us. ITG meets those requirements, as well as meeting other key goals – accepting payments by euro, complete offer and reporting facilities and bringing significant benefits to our customers.’

Building on this new partnership, ITG will be exhibiting at the annual itSMF Belgium conference on March 17 this year in Antwerp.
