November 10 2010, London – Fast-growing European private jet company Ocean Sky is further strengthening the senior team with the appointment of Rick Stocks as general manager, Ocean Sky Aircraft Management.
Stocks’ role will range across the entire scope of Ocean Sky’s aircraft management activities, from ensuring the proper implementation of company-wide processes and practices through to managing the flow of information. He will report to Andrew Hughes, managing director of Ocean Sky Aircraft Management.
Stocks says: “I’m really excited to be at the heart of a business growing so quickly. As we build our aircraft management team with the best and brightest people in the industry, I want to provide as much guidance, support and training as I can.”
Assessing the global marketplace, Stocks says: “Russia already represents a huge part of our management business, and we’re eager to maximise our presence there. Equally, we see certain regions, including the UK, where we have the potential to really increase our market share.”
Stocks has previously held senior positions at WhiteConcierge and NetJets Europe. He began his aviation career with the Royal Air Force, serving across the world in air traffic control and flight operations management for 25 years.
Stephen Grimes, Ocean Sky’s chief executive officer, says: “We set very high standards for our senior staff in terms of experience, professionalism and reputation. Rick meets those standards perfectly.”
