eMS Opens Scandinavia’s First Citation Service Center

WICHITA, Kan., Sept. 22, 2010 – Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, is delighted to announce that European Maintenance Service AB (EMS) is today opening Scandinavia’s first Cessna authorized Citation Service Center.

Located at Gothenburg Säve Airport in Sweden, the Nordic Citation Service Center is a 3,000-square-meter facility that will serve customers throughout Scandinavia. The Center will provide maintenance services for 500, 525, 550, 560, 560XL and 680 series Citation business jets and can house up to eight aircraft at a time. Among the many amenities to be offered are a 24/7 Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support service and business, leisure and accommodation services for visiting crew.

Speaking at a Grand Opening reception held at the facility today, Stephen Diapère, managing director of EMS and president of the Soya Aviation group, said: “The Nordic Citation Service Center is ideally situated, as Gothenburg lies at the heart of Scandinavia. Not only are we very conveniently located for warranty maintenance customers in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland, but we also offer a new resource for aircraft in Iceland, northern Germany, Russia and the Baltic states.”

Steve Charles, director of Field Operations at Cessna Aircraft Company, added: “The opening of the Nordic Citation Service Center recognizes the great professionalism of the EMS team and its extensive experience in maintaining Citation aircraft since the early 1990s. This latest addition to Cessna’s European customer support network will significantly enhance the service offered to the 60-plus Citations operated in the Scandinavian region, and underlines that aircraft dependability and peace of mind are fundamental to the Citation ownership experience.”

Today’s Grand Opening reception was attended by some 200 industry guests and senior representatives of EMS, Soya and Cessna.
