Scoop: FT’s new aviation correspondent

Aviation - 24th June 2009

A scoop from Kevin Done, shortly to retire as the Financial Times’ highly regarded aviation correspondent.  His successor will shortly be announced as Pilita Clark, presently the paper’s deputy news editor. She has been at the paper for about five years and was previously a journalist in Australia:

2008 – Financial Times, Deputy News Editor, Main News Desk (February)
2006 – Financial Times, Assistant News Editor, News Desk (July)
2006 – Financial Times, Deputy Editor FT Magazine
2004 – Financial Times, Assistant Editor FT Magazine
2001 – Sydney Morning Herald, Senior Writer
1999 – The Eye Magazine, Sydney, Managing Editor

The aviation beat is one of the FT’s most demanding roles, so she hopefully comes with bundles of stamina!
