We’re out at the Dubai Airshow to manage media relations for Cessna.
A lot has changed since we were last here 12 months ago, but Dubai’s still standing, if noticeably quieter. Buildings keep sprouting up and the cross-town Metro system has opened since our last visit.
Although Cessna doesn’t have any big announcements, we’re running a full schedule of media activities across the week. Today, we have a photo call for the show dailies to promote a new aircraft delivery (the first new Citation X in the Middle East to be retrofitted with winglets). Tomorrow, we’re holding a press conference to announce some other regional deliveries and programme updates. We have trade media interviews for Cessna executives tomorrow and Tuesday, and for Wednesday we’ve lined up interviews with the Khaleej Times, Reuters and City 7 Dubai TV for Cessna’s chairman Jack Pelton, who’s visiting the show that day.
Come Thursday we’ll be ready for a lie down.
