The endless media charge toward technological innovation continues, and we’ve now seen the launch of Europe’s first 3D newspaper. Complete with the same kind of cardboard viewing glasses that were given away in children’s magazines in the 1980s – remember the excitement over 3D photos of ET? – a Belgian French-language newspaper called ‘La Dernière Heure’ released a one-off 3D edition earlier this month. Not everybody seemed convinced, however, with some people saying the images looked blurry and out-of-focus. Frankly, most newspapers look blurry and out-of-focus to me, but that’s nothing to do with 3D; it’s just too much beer and not enough coffee.
