online video PR: what you need to know

We’re big fans of the power of online video to add colour and authenticity to a PR programme.  Companies like KDS use simple and low-cost video techniques to really bring client case studies and other customer communications to life. It works – see for yourself.

But if you’re not a technophile or self-confessed geek, how can you get to grips with this stuff? The good news is that it is far simpler and cheaper than you ever imagined. Here, marketing author David Meerman Scott introduces a new book (and online video, naturally) by Steve Garfield called ‘Get Seen’. The video gives a taste of various ideas, like which camera to choose, how to use light and how to edit on your laptop. It’s just a few minutes long and well worth a quick viewing over your next cup of coffee.
