iT Governance Brings Cost-Effective Compliance Advice to SMEs

Ely, England, 17 November, 2009 – IT Governance, the one-stop shop for compliance expertise, is bringing affordable advice to SMEs battling their larger rivals.

Service as a Product (‘SaaP’) allows organisations to find cost-effective consultancy in the fields of information security, business continuity, risk management and compliance. By paying a fixed price for consultancy and advice, customers can be secure in the knowledge that there is an affordable cap on their investment.

Alan Calder, Chief Executive of IT Governance, explains: “In today’s economic climate, when organisations are faced with cutting costs and rising prices, smaller businesses struggle to find affordable consultancy services.”

Solving this problem, IT Governance’s revolutionary SaaP concept is being launched with ‘PCI Services’ and the ‘FastTrack ISO27001 Consultancy Service’.

Calder says: “We’re offering invaluable and innovative services that can be bought as easily as products. Now, in this increasingly compliance-driven era, smaller companies can find quality consultancy support at a reasonable price, and without having to divert resources from the core business.

“For example, qualified security assessors (QSAs) can be an expensive route to compliance in the payment card industry (PCI), with rates starting at £900 a day. But many small companies, with very limited time and money, accept payment cards and must comply with the PCI Data Security Standard (DSS). Through our ‘PCI Services’ SaaP, SMEs can enjoy a tailored compliance solution without employing expensive QSAs.

“And our ‘FastTrack ISO27001 Consultancy Service’ is an equally cost-effective SaaP. For a one-off consultancy fee of just £5,000, we can prepare an organisation for UK Accreditation Service (UKAS) certification to ISO27001:2005 in only three months.”

The IT Governance ‘FastTrack ISO27001 Consultancy Service’ is aimed at organisations with 19 or fewer employees.
