dispatches from the Paris Air Show

A typically exhausting time at Paris, where we’re looking after Bell Helicopter.

Bell’s big story is the imminent certification of its new 429 civil helicopter, and this is the major thrust of media activity.  As well as a press conference (stuffed to the rafters – a good pay-off for our weeks of advance promotion to the press) and various on-site executive interviews, we’re also working with Bell’s in-house comms team to manage an ever-shifting schedule of press flights in the 429.

Last night’s media drinks reception went well, with over 20 attendees and a good buzz – a usual step in developing closer links between Bell’s top brass and the European media.

And all of this without the ability to use a mobile phone, with the GSM network totally unable to support Vodafone UK customers within a mile of the site!
