Road Angel

Background

Road Angel, well established as the UK’s leading producer of driver awareness systems, had decided to enter the competitive market for in‐car satellite navigation products. We were appointed on a five month project to launch its combined satnav/safety camera detection unit into the national, regional, consumer, lifestyle and motoring press.

Response

  • We worked with a market research firm to conduct a nationwide survey into consumer attitudes towards safety cameras, which provided material for an intensive national and regional media relations campaign
  • Concurrent radio and podcast campaigns were implemented to take Road Angel’s messages to consumers in audio format
  • We operated a press office to manage the distribution of demonstrator units to the media
  • We also ran regional competitions to further increase press exposure

 

Results

We achieved extensive print press coverage with a total circulation of 43 million and an Equivalent Advertising Value of £1,065,000 . Coverage was also achieved on 82 radio stations, with a total audience reach of 5,818,600 and a rate card comparison of £90,600
