John Authers, currently investment editor and principle commentator on markets and investments, has been appointed the FT’s global editor of Lex. John will continue to write the ‘Long View’ column, which appears every Saturday, as well as numerous columns for the FT’s special supplements. He takes up his new role on 1 April 2010 .
Jo Johnson, previously head of Lex, has now left the paper following his decision to run for Parliament, though remains a contributing editor to the FT. John Paul Rathbone, currently acting head of Lex has been appointed Latin America editor. James Mackintosh, currently comment editor, will become the FT’s investment editor and ‘Short View’ Columnist, based in London.
